Please read these Terms of Use carefully before booking or enquiring about a tour with Chiang Mai Day Tours. By contacting us or proceeding with a booking, you agree to these terms.
1. Our Service
Chiang Mai Day Tours provides private transportation and guided day tours throughout Chiang Mai and Northern Thailand. All tours are operated by Pongchat (Chet), a professional trusted private driver and guide based in Chiang Mai.
We are a private, independent operator — not a travel agency or licensed tour operator under Thai law. Our service is private transportation with local guidance. Tours do not include a licensed tour guide unless stated otherwise.
2. Bookings and Confirmation
All bookings are made directly via WhatsApp or phone. A booking is confirmed only when we have responded and agreed on the date, tour, and any specific arrangements. We recommend confirming at least a few days in advance, particularly during peak season (November to February).
We reserve the right to decline a booking at our discretion.
3. Payments
Payment is made in Thai Baht (THB) directly to your driver on the day of the tour unless otherwise agreed. We do not accept advance online payments through this website. Any additional costs such as entrance fees, optional activities, or meals are the responsibility of the guest and are paid directly at each venue.
4. Cancellations and Changes
We understand that travel plans can change. We ask that you notify us as early as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule.
- Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the tour: no charge
- Cancellations made within 24–48 hours: we appreciate as much notice as possible
- No-shows or same-day cancellations may be subject to a cancellation fee at our discretion
We reserve the right to cancel or modify a tour due to severe weather, road conditions, or other circumstances beyond our control. In such cases we will make every effort to reschedule at a time that suits you.
5. Guest Responsibilities
Guests are responsible for:
- Being ready at the agreed pick-up time and location
- Dressing appropriately for temple visits (shoulders and knees covered)
- Behaving respectfully at cultural and religious sites
- The safety and supervision of children in their group
- Any personal travel insurance they may require
6. Liability
Chiang Mai Day Tours takes every reasonable precaution to ensure your safety and comfort. However, we are not liable for:
- Loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings during a tour
- Injuries sustained at third-party venues, attractions, or during optional activities
- Delays or changes caused by traffic, weather, or circumstances outside our control
- The quality or safety of food, goods, or services purchased from third-party vendors during the tour
We strongly recommend that all guests obtain comprehensive travel insurance before travelling.
7. Photography and Reviews
We may occasionally take photographs during tours for use on our website or social media. Please let us know if you would prefer not to be photographed. We greatly appreciate guests who leave honest reviews on Google — your feedback helps other travellers and supports our small business.
8. Governing Law
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. Any disputes will be resolved under Thai jurisdiction.
